Gandhi ji was born in 1869 and died on 30 january 1948 .he was called bapu and father of nation.he was great politician and freedom fighter.in this chapter he has told about Indian civilization and western civilization.he says that Indian civilization is good conduct.gandhi ji has told difference between these two cultures.the western people are dependent on machines. the indian are dependent on hand and feet.the mashine can't give real pleasure.we should use hand and feet to get pleasure.indian civilization based on morality.the western civilization is based on money.today we are bartering away the permanent good for temporary pleasure.they are metrialistic and we are spiritualistic.

Gandhi ji has said that we should not follow the western culture blindly.gandhi ji believed in simple living and high thinking.desire for luxurious is insatiable
